HOULDSWORTH, already league champions, lifted the Oldham and District Rabbits League Cup when they defeated Brookdale 12-4 in the final at Fairfield.
On the same night, Fairfield played out their postponed first game of the season and were beaten 6-2 by hosts Dukinfield.
Beaten cup finalists Brookdale are safe in third spot behind Stamford, who had some good results in the latter part of the season to bring them to within six points of the champions.
THE Ernie Fenton President’s Bowl takes place on Sunday, September 19, at Fairfield Golf Club.

It was enough to lift the victors off the bottom of the table and above Oldham into fifth spot, behind Dukinfield.
Beaten cup finalists Brookdale are safe in third spot behind Stamford, who had some good results in the latter part of the season to bring them to within six points of the champions.
